Mudansha Instructors

As part of a student’s aikido training and advancement, students are required to assist in kohai instruction.  Mudansha is anyone below the rank of shodan (first black belt). This time spent instructing offers the student the opportunity to build a stronger foundation while gaining the experience and confidence needed to conduct regular classes.

is an MD in the Emergency Center at Reading Hospital. Aikido has created a balance that helps maintain his perspective and abilities to perform his profession.

is a wife and mother of two.  Her entire family trains at Asahikan Dojo.  She has been training for three years. Sam-san is also the Editor of our Children’s Newsletter - Aikido Now Kids.

Christopher Haldis - Soto Deshi 5th Kyu
Chris has been training under Aloia Sensei since May of 2010. Having
previously trained in Aikido and Mauy Thai, Chris enjoys the challenges
that Aikido has to offer with respects to learning the balance and flow of
the movements which carry into other aspects of life as well as the
physical and mental demands that are offered.
